Sea Mar’s Marysville clinic will be the primary FMP site.
Sea Mar Community Health Center Marysville is the primary outpatient clinic. Residents will learn ambulatory family medicine and provide continuity of care for patients. The program director and several faculty members are also based here.
Both Sea Mar clinics are NCQA level 3 Patient Centered Medical Homes, with robust care teams. Team members include Family Physicians, Advanced Care Practitioners (Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants), Maternal Support teams, MSWs, Chronic Care Coordinators, Dieticians, Health Educators, Medical Assistants, and Patient Navigators. The Sea Mar clinics are spacious and new or recently remodeled. There are enough exam and procedure rooms for the residents, faculty, and a few other primary care providers.
Residents will have the majority of their inpatient rotations at PRMCE’s new state-of-the-art medical tower on the Colby campus.
OB and NICU rotations will be at PRMCE’s Pavilion for Women and Children on the Pacific campus.
Residents will do all of their inpatient training (aside from Inpatient Pediatrics) at PRMCE. Providence’s mission is very much aligned with that of Sea Mar, caring for the underserved and those with financial barriers. This community based hospital has 571 beds, performs 4,500 deliveries annually, and one of the busiest ER in the state of Washington. PRMCE has two campuses, less than two miles apart. Sea Mar is the only residency at the hospital. Most rotations are done at the Colby campus, which includes a new, large inpatient tower and ER. The OB, MFM and NICU rotations are done at the Pacific campus, in a modern multi-story building.
The only rotation outside of Snohomish County is at Seattle Children’s Hospital. One block of Inpatient Pediatrics training is done at Seattle Children’s. This renowned medical center has a national reputation as a leader in pediatric medical care. Faculty pediatrician Cor Van Niel is on staff at Children’s.
The facilities for outpatient specialty rotations are located throughout Snohomish County. These sites include multispecialty clinics, individual specialty clinics, and the Snohomish County Health Department. Most of our specialty rotations are with Providence Medical Group and Western Washington Medical Group. These well respected multispecialty clinics have a number of specialists available for our outpatient rotations. Additionally, there are some other specialists in the community that support the residency by welcoming residents into their clinics.
