Evan Teplow practices at Sea Mar’s Monroe clinic. He circled back to Sea Mar in 2017 after 20 years of working as a faculty member at the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency program in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Prior to Lawrence, he trained then worked on staff at the Seattle Sea Mar Family Medicine Residency.
Dr. Teplow studied Spanish at Middlebury College in Vermont. After college he was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the highlands of Guatemala for 2 years doing fish farming and agricultural projects prior to starting Dartmouth Medical School in New Hampshire. He has volunteered overseas in Honduras and in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake.
Dr. Teplow’s medical interests include office procedures, sports medicine, physician and patient wellness, and health care delivery to Latino and Underserved Populations. Outside of work, he rows crew early in the morning, and likes to swim, bike, hike, and Nordic ski. On the creative side, he is building his 2nd small wooden boat and spends a lot of time in the pottery studio. He has 2 young-adult children who he loves to be with.
