Make a difference by providing care for families in need, including the uninsured, those without the ability to pay, and undocumented immigrants in Western Washington.
We are the only residency program serving Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, a major regional hospital with the busiest ER in Washington state.
Our focus on full-spectrum family medicine (with an emphasis on internal medicine and obstetrics) will give graduates the confidence and training to practice in any community they choose, including rural and urban underserved settings.
"The Sea Mar Marysville Family Medicine Residency trains residents to improve the health of individuals and communities, while seeking to alleviate health disparities. We do this by teaching the skills, resourcefulness, and confidence to practice comprehensive Family Medicine in any setting, with a special focus on working with underserved populations in Community Health Centers."
- Mission Statement -
New and unopposed family medicine residency program serving Washington state families in an established Community Health Center.
Nestled between Puget Sound and the Cascade Mountains, Marysville is less than an hour north of Seattle and mere minutes from countless natural attractions.
Since 1978 Sea Mar has been committed to serving Latino families in Western Washington who often are overlooked or alienated by the traditional medical system.
The Sea Mar Marysville Family Medicine Residency received ACGME accreditation in January 2016. We are eager to welcome our first class of residents in July of 2017. Keep an eye on this space for more information and updates over the coming months.
